Crystal Light has lots of artificialArtificial tears **** in it tht isnt good for baby. GreenTea Should b fine. I like to stay away from artificialArtificial tears sweeteners. I dont know how conscious u r about that. Congrats! =)
thanks ShamansMommy. As of now I will leave the CrystalCrystal b-12 Light alone. I do not want to do anything that I should not be doing. I am feening for a Pepsi, but the baby comes first. I guess I am going to have to love water without additives.
Green tea interferes with the absorption of folic acid, so best to avoid it. Drink water, add some lemon if you don't like plain water. I am not a big fan of artificial sweeteners either, avoid them when possible.
I cannot seem to get enough water when I am pg, so what to drink is never an issue ; )
Lots of ppl dont like water until they start drinking it, then it becomes a preference. Thats how it was for me. Its the best thing for u and your baby. U want to make sure its clean, and buying bottled water gets expensive, so we bought one of those filters for the faucet. Its a lot cheaper when u drink as much water as us preggers n nursers =)
have you tried seltzer? comes in nice flavors. you can also do caffeine-free soda (although i confess to having a regular soda everyday). i agree with the others to avoid artificial sweeteners. i personally love the 4-C green tea iced tea mix (powder). I know it has lots of sugar, but my DH makes it 3/4 strength. so refreshing! i contacted the company to find out the caffeine content cause i was drinking so much (only 16 mg per serving at full strength- not even close to a cup of coffee).
as for water, early in my pregnancy i couldn't drink tap water- it tasted awful to me so i had to drink bottled. now i can chug tap water no problem.
Andi is right, green tea interferes with the absorption of folic acid. It's the most criticle the first 4 weeks of pregnancy when the spine is forming. I would talk with your Dr. about it.
My urine turned a really dark redish brown from not drinking water. My doctor said that it was from being dehydrated and the only thing good enough to fix it was water. I too am not a big fan but I do feel a lot better now.
I drank the crystal light my whole pregnancy and my dd is two months old and fine. I was also a pepsi feen and i drank diet cherry pepsi. I had Gestational diabietes and my baby was born at 38 weeks via c-section because he thought if I went to term that she would be big, she was only 7.7lbs.
I drank flat Coke, it helped my tummy, and lots of water. Green tea is questionable, my Dr. told me best to avoid it. Just watch out for things like energy drinks, etc. and use moderation with the artificial sweetners. My boys came out fine too, both on the large side, but I was not diabetic. Congrats, what a Father's Day gift! I got my bfp with my second son last summer on DH's B-Day. So fun!
water is the only thing that takes care of my thirst. i was drinking lots of juices and cherry limeades, but realized that is a lot of extra calories. dont drink anything diet, a regular soda is better. however im not sure about hansens diet soda.
