white blood cells in kidney

by sumbulumer, Nov 10, 2009 03:36PM
hello everyone,
i have been told by my gp after 3 consecutive urine tests that i have 600 -800 white blood cells in kidney which is very high than a normal infection in kidneys,
GP informed a normal person should have 0-40 white blood cells count in kidneys. 0 if no infection and if infection only max 40 but my count is 800 in second test.
i have been referred for an ultrasound to scan lower abdomen, then will be referred to urologist later.
Can anyone please help me answer what it could be??
