worried baby will be addicted!

by kaytes14, May 26, 2003 12:00AM
I suffered from kidney stones from 4 1/2 months pregnant through my 6th month of pregnancy and was on vicodin for the pain. Fortunately this ugly bout is over and am now off the pain med's, but now I am worried the baby will be born addicted to the med's. Since I have two months left of being med free, will this increase the probabilty of having a healthy baby or has the damage been done? please help! I can't stop worrying!

Hey, Did you ask you obgyn what he thinks?  I believe that if he prescribes you the medications he must know what he is doing! Glad you are out of pain. Hold on ... when is your baby due?  does the u/s shows a good heart beat and normal size baby?

Take care  keep us posted

My doctor told me not to worry, but I just wanted to speak to someone who maybe went through the same thing, I feel so alone!
