I'm six weeks pregnant today and noticed that i feel like i have a yeast infection. I was wondering if the over the counter medication is safeSafe driving for teens Safe sex to use. I was thinking of calling doctor for that pill they have out now but wasn't sure if it was safeSafe driving for teens Safe sex to take. Any advice would be appreciated this is driving me nuts.
Definitely call your doctor when you're pregnant. IF nothing else, they will want to monitor the yeast infection too, but they say to always run that stuff by your doctor, even if you've had several yeast infections in your life and have always gottne over the counter medications. I hope it goes away quickly. and Congrats on your new pregnancy.
I am not sure how safe the pill is, but I telephoned my midwife and she suggested over the counter canestan cream.
dont worry a yeast infection is easily treated, mine took a little longer than usual but it hasnt come back.
hugs
Antifungal meds are generally not prescribed during pregnancy. You are better off using a topical cream at this point. You may also want to look into taking probiotics.
First make sure you have a yeast infection and not a bacterial infection. If you don't have any discharge and only irritation and ichiness then you can use Vagisil on the outside and feel better otherwise call your doc before using anything else.
There is a pill they can prescribe, which is only 1 pill, and it clears it right up.
