The lifestyle issues associated with anovulation are exercise and weight. As working rules, ladies who weigh under 100 lbs and over 200 lbs and ladies whose exercise program is comparable to running 30 miles/week, average 5-6 miles/hour, have increased risk of anovulation. Weight increases, decreases, and altered exercise programs can all be beneficial in these situations.
Stress is widely mentioned as a cause for anovulation: we have no good measures for individual stress and its effects on persons. Therapies that reduce stress (meditation, yoga, walking, counselling) are all unproven, but would do not harm.
