Birth Control Pills effect on getting pregnant

I have been married now for almost 3 years, I am 22 years old.
When we married, my husband and I decided not to have children in
the near future, so I started taking birth control pills, and have
continued to take them ever since.  A lot of people have told me that
it is bad to take pills before you have children, since you don't know
if you can have children already, implying as if the pill will affect my
fertility. I still don't want to have kids, at least for another 2 years
(until I finish college).  When we do decide to get pregnant, will
I have hurt my chances of having a baby by having taken the pill
for a certain number of years?
I figure that if I do have a fertility problem, it's not because of the
pills I've been taking, but because it was there all along.
I would really appreciate your help!!!
