Cipro & Pregnancy

Dear Doctor,
My Wife is Pregnant . Between the 11 th  of July & 16 th of July ,
she was given a course of Cifran containing 250 mgs. of Ciprofloxacin
& 300 mgs of Tinidazole , two times a day. The LMP was on the 25/06/98.
Considering it the approx. ovulation would be around 05/07/98 .,ie she
has consumed the antibiotic for six days upto the 12 th day of CONCEPTION.
On consultation with the Gynae , we have not been able to find out the
impact of this drug on the fetus. She has informed us , that the effects
are not known so it is upto us. I have reffered to many pages on the net
about Cipro but am very confused.
Kindly comment whether we should continue the pregnancy or not.
