Does PMS Equal Not Pregnant

by bm__0, Sep 09, 1998 12:00AM

As usual, I was real emotional last week, normally attributed to PMS.
This week, however, I have not had my period - only spotting.  Could
  I still be pregnant?
Dear BM:
If I am understanding your question, you had moodiness that you attributed to PMS and your period did not start. Now you are wondering if you could be pregnant. Any woman who does not begin her menstrual period and is sexually active is assumed to he pregnant until tests discredit the idea. Premenstrual symptoms do occur in the cycle of conception.
