HCG levels

Hi,
I am 8 weeks from my LMP.  I recently had bleeding (light bleeding,
with very small clots, for about 10 minutes)on a monday night.  The exam
showed the cervix did not open and there was a sac in the uterus.  An HCG
count on Monday night was at 15,000.  The internal ultrasound on Tuesday
morning showed a sac with a pole and yolk with a gestational age of 5 1/2
weeks, no heartbeat. An HCG count on Wednesday was 19,980.  An HCG count
on Friday was 25,541.  I am scheduled for another ultrasound next tuesday,
at 6 weeks to detect a heartbeat.  My question is. . . does it seem that
with HCG levels rising, but not doubling, and a sac with a pole and yolk,
that this could still be a live pregnancy?  What are the chances?
Thanks
