How soon can pregnancy symptoms manifest themselves?

  My husband and I are TTC out 3rd child. This is the first month we are trying, and the first child we are actually "planning" for. Right now I am only 4 days past ovulation, and yesterday I started experiencing nausea and breast tenderness. Is it possible for pregnancy symptoms to manifest themselves so soon, even before implantation, or is this just some psychosomatic wishful thinking on my part?

Women who have been pregnant and know the symptoms and signs of early pregnancy may detect them before the missed menstrual period. Four days following ovulation is early, but not impossible.
The second half of the menstrual cycle is normally attended by symptoms including breast tenderness. At this time of year, flu-like illness and nausea is not uncommon. Finally, "wishful thinking" can contribute to symptoms.
Good luck for this cycle. Home pregnancy tests may become positive at the time of the missed flow and are reliable more than 17 days from ovulation.
