Injectables

by kate__0, Aug 12, 1998 12:00AM

I've already had 3 shots of Depo-Provera.  During my last visit to the doctor however, they said that they had run out of Depo and so were injecting me with Norestarat (Narestarat?) instead.  Unlike depo, it's effective for two month only.  Can you tell me anything about thsi drug, i.e. its effectivity, side effects, etc.  is it ikay to switch between 2 types of injectables?
Dear Kate:
Our pharmacy is unable to identify a drug with a name like Norestarat or another injectable progestin.
I do not know where you reside: there are medications that are not available in the United States.
There are many medications that can be used safely and effectively as substitute therapies.
Sorry, I have no specific information to answer your questions.
Keywords: Depoprovera
