Nervously awaiting results

  My girlfriend had a UTI roughly when she was supposed to have her period. She has had symptoms of PMS including the severe cramping she gets from endomitiosis (spelling?)  She took a pregnancy test today and it showed up positive. EPT i believe was the brand. She has scheduled an appointment with a doctor. But I was just curious how accurate the urine test could be with her body being so stressed?

There are many unanswered questions, however, generally if the test is done according to instructions, and the kit itself is not damaged or expired the presence of the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotropin is only present during prregnancy.  Repeat the test using her first morning urine.  a blood test done at the physicians office would also ease your mind.
