Ovulation kits and questions

HI , I have been taking the ovulation kits my dh and i want to become pregnat. My cycles are pretty off. I was taking them starting on the 11th day of my cycle. Every test i took had somesort of faint purple line in the result window. Every day the line appeared darker. On the 13th day of my cycle it was matching the test line so we had sex for 4 days in a row.  I stoped testing but on the 21st day of my cycle i tested again for the "heck of it" And the test line was much darker then the other line . I also had mild c ramps for 2 days before i tested . I was wondering were the cramps  due to  me ovulating late or could it be implantaion cramps?? Well dh and i had sex that night we saw the line change aain. So what i am asking is wh did ever day i test have some sort of purple line come up could i have had a high lh level but never produced a egg or do you think the second time i saw the line change  was a ovulation take place. Like i said before my cycles have been for the last 4 months 39,32,36,34 days. When should i test for pregnancy. Since my cycles are really off
