Pharyngitis

  My son was diagnosed with Bronchitis and Pharyngitis{spelling?}two days ago.Can you tell me what Pharyngitis is? Thank you.

Pharyngitis is an inflammation of the pharynx. The pharynx serves as the  passageway (inside your mouth) for air and food to travel to the larynx and the esophagus. Patients who have pharyngitis typically present with a sore throat, fever, and flu like symptoms.
