My Questions are: Is there any way to prevent future loss? Did the strep b play a major role in the miscarriage? How dangerous is a circlage to the membrane? Are there any difinitives oram i going to just have to take my chances? My husband and i really want a family so we are looking for high risk pregnancy doctors in the Connecticut area do you know any? would appreciate any advice or info.

the Obstetrics and Gynecology Departments, Harford Hospital, University of Connecticut, and Yale can all be helpful to you. You are also within striking distance of Boston and its medical establishment.
Treatment depends upon diagnosis. Incompetent cervix is correct by circlage with high effectiveness and safety. Group B streptococcus can be identified an the bacterium is usually snesitive to antibiotic. Both of these conditions are associated with loss of pregnancy around twenty weeks. Both an present as unexpected rupture of membranes.
Medicine does not have any guarantees, but it can often offer you both help and hope.
