My sister is 14 weeks pregnant and just had a doctors apointment yesterday. When he listened to the

Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat
Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat, it was very, very strong as soon as he laid the "listening device" on her tummy. He said it sounded like there was an echo and said that it could be twins. He is not scheduling an ultrasound for a couple more weeks. What are the

Ultrasound, normal fetus - heartbeat
Ultrasound, ventricular septal defect - heartbeat and NOT have twins?
Thanks!
Well, from what I know, twins do run on the maternal side of the

Have they done blood work? Did her HCG levels seem high at the time?
This may indiacte twins, as well as her uterus being larger than it should be for the
gestationalGestational diabetes
Gestational trophoblastic disease age of the pregnancy.
Has she measuerd big?
An ultrasound would be the best way to tell, definitely. In early pregnancy a twin may be missed with an ultrasound, but should be able to be seen by now, less room for baby to hide.
Congrats to your sister, and I hope all goes well.
