Thanks Michelle.  I appreciate the input.  Her urine is checked monthly by the nurse, and often by me if there is a fever present with no particular symptoms.  The ketones seem to be there quite frequently, which is why I asked.  However, as I noted in my post, there were no ketones recently when she was well.  I just wondered if there was more significance to the recurrence of ketones other than being caused from illness alone.  Thanks for letting me know I am not being ignored.
