My  7 week old infant is still only taking one and a half to two ounces of formula at
a feeding and still wants to be feed every 2=3 hours.  Shouldn't he be taking
larger portions and eating every 4 hours?  He is gaining weight,  he has gone from
6lbs1oz to 10lbs 3oz.    Is there a way to get him on a schedule or should I just
continue to feed him on demand?
I think continuing to feed on demand is all you can do until he adjusts his schedule, I had the same problem with my oldest daughter. He will do this.  As he starts sleeping for longer periods, he should eat more at once to make up for the  feeding hours he's spent sleeping through
