My Husband and I have been trying for a baby for all most 2 years and as yet nothing has happened.
We have sex during my ovulating period but still nothing.
I have also been getting lumps under my arms for the past 4 mths and thought this was related to the stress of not conciving.
I have  regular periods and I take folic acid daily.  I was on the pill for around 9 years but came of 2years ago.
My husband does have bad acne and takes medication I read an artical in a magazine that minocin MR can cause problems in males if they are trying for a baby do you advise that he should stop talking this drug.
Please reply soon as I am getting really depressed when I see other mothers.
Iam 29 yrs and my Husband is 26yrs.
Dear jaci:
Infertility is defined as a couple who fail to conceive after one year of frequent, unprotected intercourse. You need to see a physician (ususally an OB/GYN or a reproductive endocrinologist) who has an interest in fertility issues.
Appropriate testing will include documentation of ovulation (I assume you have done this by some test), normal luteal phase hormones, open fallopian tubes, normal male factor, and absence of any other illness (lumps under the arms can mean many things).
You husband should be tested to see if his semen analysis is normal on the tetracycline.
