it has been 7 months since i had my last shot and i still do not have my period.  the deporovera eliminated my period after the first month.  when can i expect it back?
Dear Heather:
A small number of women take longer than 6 months for their menstrual period to resume after stopping deop-provera. Equally, the medication can make changes in hormones that would have been suspected because menstrual cycles had changed.
It is appropriate to contact your gynecologist and (s)he may recommend consultation with a reproductive endocrinologist.
