In December 98 I miscarried twins at 15 weeks. It appeared that the babies had died a couple of weeks earlier.  I conceived again in February and miscarried one baby March 99. I was almost 10 weeks. The last time test were run that showed triploid conception. My doctor said that it was not likely that this would re-occur. Do you have any additional information? Could this have been related to our twins?
Thanks for any information you can pass on to me.

In general a women who experiences 3 pregnancy losses should be worked up. Among the rest she and her male partner should undergo chromosome study. The study will either rule in or out chromosome abnormality in either one.
Triploid conception does not result from an inherited chromosome abnormality and is relavively common finding among pregnancy loss cases.
