Can having ovarian cysts on both side make you have
elevated FSH levels?

Dear Sue:
FSH (Follicle Stimulating Hormone) is secreted from the pituitary gland. It is the hormone that stimulates the ovary to develop the eggs which are packaged in small fluid packages called follicles. When imaged by ultrasound, radiologists call these fluid packages cysts. The ovarian cysts would be the consequence of the FSH stimulation and not the cause of the elevation.
