I was reading in your archives and found several references to implantation and implantation bleeding. I've never read much about this and am not sure how it works.
Does everyone have implantation bleeding? When does implantation happen (ie, how long after the egg is fertilized)?
My mother said she had a
regularRegular insulin period for 4 months when she was pregnant with me. In one of your answers you said this is extremely rare and usually confused with implantation bleeding. Would implantation bleeding happen over such a long time frame? She says she had all the other symptoms of pregnancy and new she was pregnant at the time she was still having periods. Is something like this
hereditaryHereditary amyloidosis
Pseudohypoparathyroidism? As far as I know both of her earlier pregnancies were
normalNormal saline flush without bleeding and both babies were healthy.
Thank you for your help.
Not everyone experiences implantation bleeding, and it is very doubtful
this has anything to do with bleeding in the 4th month.
Period like bleeding may occur during a pregnancy, but this is NOT an
actual period. You get your period when the
uterineDysfunctional uterine bleeding (dub)
Endometrial cancer
Fetal heart and uterine contraction monitor
Intrauterine device
Intrauterine growth restriction
Normal uterine anatomy (cut section)
Uterine anatomy
Uterine fibroids
Uterine prolapse lining has built up for
a fertilized egg, if this does not happen your body then expels the unused
lining, resulting in a period. In the case of pregnancy this whole cycle of
events has not taken place, so it is not a true period.
