hi,
this question is in continuance with the previous one.
i had lh surge on 22nd (cd18)and since then my temp is 97.3,97.4 and today it was 97.7.it was in the range of 97.7-97.8 before lh surge.also my progesterone is very low ( <0.2).
so my question is that is my temp gonna rise in few days?
did i O this cycle?
if not is it due to low progesterone?
if progesterone is the problem then what should i do my next cycle of clomid,in order to get O'd?
my obgyn didnt do any u/s or give me progesterone.
i hope my all questions will be answered.
thanks.
Dear Sam:
An LH surge ovulation prediction kit is a reliable test. The instructions must be followed as one can obtain both false positive and false negative results.
A basal body temperature record is more variable: moisture in the mouth; illness; medication, sleep patterns will all influence temperature. Ovulation is indicated by a temperature rise of 1/2 degree or more that persists for longer than 10 days.
A progesterone level has meaning 6, 7, or 8 days following ovulation. At that time, a value greater than 5 ng/ml is consistent with ovulation and a value greater than 10 ng/ml is consistent with a normal luteal phase.
