Dear Nicole:
You do not mention whether you are using contraception. If you are not attempting to become pregnant, consistent use of an effective contracepting agent keeps the likelihood for pregnancy very, very low.
If you are attempting pregnancy, one must learn whether you are ovulating. Irregular cycles with variable bleeding patterns is most consistent with anovulation. This makes the likelihood for conceiving very low.
There are no tests that diagnose pregnancy 1week before a missed period. There is no way to know, with irregular cycles, when ovulation occurs, if it occurs, and hence make any guess about timing of intercourse and likelihood for pregnancy.
You have specific needs that should be sorted out with a healthcare provider.
Keywords: irregular cycles, intercourse
