early detection

I have been trying to conceive for almost 2 yrs This month I have myself convinced that I have.I have a fluttery feeling in my abdomen, abnormal extreme hunger, and a ovulation like discharge for 10 days.I want to know if there is a way to detect pregnancy before I am due for my period. If I am pregnant I conceived 8 or 9 days ago.I cant take the stress of waiting another week.

Dear Trish
The best way to detect early pregnancy is by blood or urine tests for the presence of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced by the developing placenta. Blood tests for hCG can potentially become positive as early as 5 to 6 days after ovulation, when implantation occurs. Urine tests generally begin to become positive around the time of the first missed menstrual period. However, a negative blood/urine test at these times does not necessarily mean that you are not pregnant. There is often a fair amount of variability in early pregancy events such as implantation, etc.  Good Luck!
