fingernail

  Dear Doctor,
  It appears that my 21-month-old baby will probably lose a fingernail becasue of an accident. Will the nail be reproducible? Thank you very much for your help.

Depending on whether the nail bed was affected or not. The cells that produce the nail keratin lie at the base of the nail bed . Sometimes , some of those cells survive the injury , but end up producing a deformed nail.
Be patient , time will tell the best results
