hcg level of 1000

  Hi, I just found out that I am pregnant. According to the lab test my hcg
  level is 1000, according to the test way over the normal. So, what does
  this mean?

A single level of hCG has no meaning. There is a wide range of normal that changes, day-by-day, during pregnancy. It is true that values are higher with multiple pregnancy, but one cannot make any judgements about a single value.
A rising value which doubles approximately every 2 days is reassuring. A healthy fetus is confirmed by an ultrasound study time to 6 weeks from last normal menstrual period.
