inverted nipples in newborn

I have a 6 month old baby with inverted nipples.  Is this normal? Will they stay inverted?

Inverted nipples are a normal variation, meaning that they are not an  expected finding during a physical examination but are not an abnormal finding either. There is really no way to say if they will stay inverted. Some people do have inverted nipples throughout life or a change may happen  during growth spurts or puberty.  During your child's well baby physicals this should be monitored.
