levoxyl and breastfeeding

I am taking .137mg of Levoxyl daily post partial thyroid removal 2 yrs. ago.
Will I be able to breast feed my baby due 12/27/98 while taking this
medication? If not , what are my other options?
Dear Allyson:
Thyroid medication is not contraindicated during breast feeding. Minimal amounts of the hormone are present in the breast milk and thyroid has not been associated with any harmful effects. Your child's pediatrician should be aware of your thyroid condition and medication.
This ifnormation is provided for general education pruposes only and is not a medical ocnsultation. if you have specific questions, please contact your physcian.
