The mom wants to know should she continue to push for a definite diagnosis of his problems. If someone could point me in the right direction, I will reserach his problems, and if someone could suggest a doctor that deals with such complex problems. This

Little tummys one also has problems with his bowels. H e gets constipated so easy. he eats some by mouth, baby food, but not enough from day to day to decrease tube feeding.
Thank you,

Hi Jenny :
Thank you for your concern
Let's start with the problem list :
1.
DuodenalPeptic ulcer Atresia : a failure of canalization of the duodenum-the first part of the small intestine , just after the stomach. Treatment involves bypassing the obstruction by connecting the first normal and last normal parts of the duodenum together. While the healing process is going on , a stomach tube is put to drain the stomach and protect the airways from aspiration.A jejunostomy tube is the tube through which the baby gets fed.
2. the baby is allergic to cow's milk , soy milk and peanuts . What did the baby present with for the doctors to be suspicious of allergy. About 15% of babies who are intolerant to cow's milk can develop symptoms with soy formula. I am not sure why they gave the baby a peanut challenge but most parents are advised not to give peanuts to their infants until about 12 months of age. The symptoms of peanut allergy are different from cow's milk or soy milk intolerance. What type of milk is the baby on now?
3.Temperature instability is uncommon in 5 month old infants , it would have to do with evaporation of water from the skin or a poor thermoregulatory center.
4. How is the baby developing with all this , is he doing things appropriate for his age ?
5. What was his birth history , How was he born , what gestational age , did mother have a C/section? what was the birth weight, when did they diagnose the duodenal atresia , does mother have any other children , are they all O.K ?
Details on each of these entities is necessary to help your friend .
The baby has multiple issues and would best be managed by a multidisciplinary team
I will provide you with phone numbers to the appropriate specialities in our responce to your next message.
Sincerely
L.M.
