ovulation

My husband and I are trying to get pregnant.  My cylces have been very off lately.
I do have a thryoid problem that I have had for 8 years.  I need to be retested again
but I think the dose I am on now is working.  I am trying to figure when my peak ovulation
dates would be.  Here are my last periods starting with the most recent:  26,30,29,33,31,30,30,32,32,28,26,30.
When am I most fertile.  I know with my first child I conceived on or around the 11th day after
the first day of the start of my period.  Because of my husbands job I only get to have sex with him
sometimes every couple months.  March is one he will be here.  I would appreciate a response quickly.
My last period was Feb. 15, 1999, when can I expect to ovulate based on the information given?
  Thank you so much.

Dear Jenny:
To calculate the day of ovulation using the standard rule that the time from ovulation to menses is 14 days, simply subtract 14 from the total cycle length. Hence, you ovulate as early as cycle day 12 (26 day cycle) and as late as cycle day 19 (33 day cycles). Since most cycles approximate 30 days, day 16 is the most likely day of ovulation.
Prospectively, ovulation is detecte with a urine ovulation detection kit. Begin testing on cycle day 11. The color kit will anticipate ovulation by one day.
