yeast infection

by Jody__0, Mar 10, 1999 12:00AM

I am wondering if it is okay to treat myself for a yeast infection if there is a possibility that I am pregnant?  And if I am not pregnant, will the medication work while on my period, or do I need to discontinue use until after my flow?  Thank you in advance.

Dear Jody,
Yes the drugstore yeast preparations are safe during pregnancy. You may find it more convenient to wait until the heavy flow is over but it should be effective during a period.
