allergic reaction

So Cady hasn't been feeling well and I noticed a rash tonight. I finally put 2 and 2 together- we have been using Omeprazole since Halloween, but we just switched from getting it at our local pharmacy to having to use an actual compound pharmacy so it changed the mix a bit. She had an allergic reaction to it. She's been super sleepy, when she has a bowel movement it's been diarrhea, and been super cranky/needy....which is totally not her. It's only taken me like 4 days to figure it out. We're changing meds, but have to wait til after the holiday to get it...stupid insurance. I am really hating our insurance. At least we're figuring out before we end up in the ER though.....oh and on another note...in another group..I can't get over some people...the question was asked who has used KY and still got pregnant...as if it's a form of birth control. What are we teaching our kids in health class these days?

Poor Cady! At least you figured it out. Some parents might have missed it and just thought there was a virus causing it.    I saw the KY question and responded too. The only thing I thought of is if she was calling spermicide KY but still sounds like she wouldn't even be using that right. There's a lot of posts on there that I have to just shake my head. If you are too uneducated to know the answer you have no business having sex or children.

At least you know now that it's an allergic reaction, I remember my daughter had an allergic reaction to eggs at 8 months old. She came out in huge red hives all over her face, ears and chest and it happened so quick, like after her 4th spoonful of egg! We rushed her to the hospital and they gave her antihistamines. It was so scary, and she didn't come right with eggs til she was 3. At least cady's reaction was mild, and just a rash, I hope you can get her back on the right medication. As for the ky and pregnancy, honestly some people are too young to be having sex or just not very well educated.
