I'm 20 years old.
My teeth dont sit together at all.
I've been having maxillofacial work done to get ready for surgery. ie braces.
Ive had my braces in for 2years. Next month I am getting the last bits of my braces fitted so that I can have surgery.
I'm rather nervous as I know they will give me an over bite on my top jaw. They are breaking both jaws. And may even be putting my right jaw back into socket (its never been in socket, family trait, joint sits just slightly out of place)
My front teeth sit 2mm to the right at the top and 3mm at the bottom. And are about 7mm apart when my jaw is closed, with about a 1 to 2mm between my back teeth.
I wonder if anyone else has gone through the surgery and how bad the recovery is. Ive read up on it and ive been told over and over, but at the end of the day most of the doctors have never had it done.
Just need some reasurance as it gets closer to the time.
