How badly do you think the latest oil spill disaster will eventually effect us at the gas pumps?

I can empathize the posts with regard to what the spill has and will continue to do to our wildlife.  However, more importantly, consider all the men and women who are, or should i say were, employed in the fishing industry.

Moreover, this occurrence is a precursor to what the Mayan Calendar countdown: 12.21.12.

This will effect alot of things we can't even imagine yet, just catastrophic in size. So many jobs, livleyhoods will be ruined, jobs lost, but when I think about all the birds, fish, geese, ducks, etc that's what makes me the saddest.

If the oil spill makes it down on the coast where I live, the little town will cease to exist. It is nesting season for the turtles and to think the dolphens will no longer jump off the coast and the brown pelicans, oh its just a disaster. Of course we will foot the bill at the gas pump and I am guessing 5-6 dollar a gallon in the next couple of months. And seafood has already skyrocketed here.

The price will high at the pumps for sure. $5 to $6 dollars. What I worry about more is the damage it will cause to the delicate eco balance to the shores and marine life and birds. What will be the cost to the recovering economy. I think it is about time for us to ask how high of a price are we really willing to pay for our precious oil. The price we will pay is more than just at the pumps. If the sea dies, so will we. We all really need to think about what we are doing and what we are leaving for our kids.
