The alarm panel I have at work. That thing goes off every 5 minutes. Very sophisticated, but too annoying.

Another one is the incredibly annoying noise some cars like the new Corolla and Honda Civic make if your are not buckled up.

I need and use my cell phone but will not talk while driving.  At our last company meeting the President actually had the nerve to tell everyone to return all their customer calls while driving.  They are starting to put laws in here in Canada against talking/texting and driving.

I love to watch movies and usually just purchase the pay per view from my satellite service.  When we do rent a DVD I am extremely annoyed at having to figure out which remote control (why do we need so many?) to use and which buttons on the others I need to press in order to enable the DVD.  I just can't get this right.

Sorry... My post was longer, but I had to cut some out because I went over the limit.

I just wanted to say that I do own a Cell phone. I have had one since 2004 and I would not be without one. I use about 10 minutes a month and I have 300 available to me with free weekends. I know... I need to find a better plan. But, I like the security that comes with knowing I do have the phone... and I can retrieve messages easily. My family knows that I rarely have it on and if it is on when I am driving... it will ring and ring and ring. Leave a message and I will park and then get the phone.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.

The CONSTANT USE OF CELLLLL PPPHHHONES>>>GGGggggrrrrrrrrrr...... Geez Louise! ENOUGH ALREADY. DO people REALLY HAVE TO BE TALKING ALL of THE TIME?????????

.

I can ALWAYS tell when a driver is on a cell phone. I promise you, I see careless driving, inept driving, lane swerving, incompetence, lack of keeping up with speeds, hanging the left lane, making horrible and off-lane turns. I sit in my car and sarcastically say to them (in my head)..."Oh, I am sorry... YOU just cut me off (fill in other appropriate phrases here such as, "squeezed me out of my lane," etc,), but I see you are ON YOUR PHONE. So sorry to bother you with the SERIOUS business of driving. It is Maddening. I don't care what anyone says (for those who know me here... you obviously see that this has hit a button)... but, even if it is a hand-held phone, there are problems with "Cell phone drivers" in that they are engaging a part of the brain for the conversation and they are not able to pay full attention to the road. I know that there are all types of distracted driving going on (don't get me started on "Texting" while driving) but you can break off from a conversation more easily where there are others in the car with whom you are speaking.... you can stop singing with the radio.... but it is different when you are on the phone.... PLUS .....I don't want to be on the receiving end of an irate driver who just lost a business deal while talking on a phone when the business at hand should have been  driving.

I was rear-ended about 19 years ago by a woman who decided to answer her phone instead of stopping at a red light, where I was sitting. That was a long time ago when few people even owned a cell... things have gotten so much worse. I was cut off twice the other day because people were too busy on the phone to pay attention to driving.

I also go crazy when I am at a store and I have to hear about someone's break up or surgery... I am trying to THINK about what I need to buy. This is a STORE not a phone booth. Also, look at all the parents busy on the PHONE while pushing their kids in a cart or in a stroller... The poor kids will come to resent the time taken away from their time with Mom/Dad because of the phone. And, I was crashed into at Target TWICE on Wednesday by people on the PHONE.... PLEASE!!!!  It is maddening.
