To funny...I got Animal Crossings for Christmas...My town is Fryville if you can come visit...lol
I love the snow board! I have a few games now that use the balance board. It is a really neat thing. I use it for the Fit as well. I have the 3 Rayman and the Raving Rabbids games and laugh at them non stop. (a little gross for really young kids, but funny for teens) I just started playing Animal Crossing City Folk and was hoping someone else plays and we could trade fruit, lol. I think Tim is right, I am a weirdo, hee hee.
OMG Tina, I bought my daughter wii fit for christmas she got the wii last year. I havent played but watched her, Oh how I laughed as she hula hooped, skiied, also got her some game that she uses her butt, its snow boarding, anyway its great exercise, she uses it every single night however, she to is addicted, and I had threaten to pull the plug, homework, reading and family time need to happen nightly too. so its been a struggle, but she is getting used to it.. :)
And that's why I don't dare to get one. If you have an addictive personality it will find itself anywhere... Addiction doesn't have to be limited to substances.
I used to get hooked on different online computer games/social networking sites like Neopets. Starts off like any other addiction, to escape stress, at the time it was stress from college and family relationships... But what started off as a stress reducer turned into a serious problem. Eventually it led me to drop out of college.

I used to justify my addiction at the time by saying; hey at least I'm not drinking or doing drugs... But when I read the stories of different drug addicts and alcoholics in this community and others, I stopped dead in my tracks. I realized besides the physical aspects, the mentality is very much the same, even the rationalization part.
How to get through it? How does one get through a drug addiction or overcome alcohol? They have to abstain from it if they can't physically limit themselves.
Try to limit your time, but if you can't, then it may be time to break away from your Wii and any game like it. Donate it or give it away. Sorry if this sounds extreme. But if it is causing this much problem for you, it may be a good idea.
I hear people every day here that talks about playing the wii or fighting with spouses over their turn to play it.
I plan to buy my son one for his birthday but not just for him but kind of a selfish reason. I want to try it out as well. I am already hooked to mario brothers on his nintendo DS.
Yea, the same here ..it started with the Atari...I play mostly the WII but have PS3...We have kids but I'm on more then them...lol...
