I was standing in line at the post office the other day because I had a return that had to go ups. The post office did not carry ups but did tell me where one was so I could drop the package. I was doing this for an elderly client of mine. A gentleman standing in line said he worked for ups and offered to take the package for me because he was on his way to work. He said Merry Christmas! I thought that was sooo nice. Then I was standing in line at walmart and my 6 year old grandson had saved his money to get a candy bar. He was 10 cents short and the teenage girl next in line, gave him the 10 cents and said Merry Christmas! There are still angels among us, and the season exposes them.
Merry Christmas everybody and I hope all you wishes come true!
One of my wishes was to have my father meet my kids(both in their 20's) and its finally happening!! My first Christmas with my Dad in 49 years!! I am so excited for myself and my kids,I have wanted this forever and never thought that it would happen,so Tuesday is the big day.
I hope that you all have a wish and get it too,I cant believe wishes come true but they do.
They may take a while but the wait is worth it!!
Merry Christmas to you all~~May 2009 be a good year for all !!
Teko, what a wonderful way to start a holiday. You never know when you might run into one of your "Angels", and it makes my heart smile when I happen upon one. Merry Christmas to you also.
I am so happy that you and yours will be able to have an awesome Christmas together. I'll be spending the Christmas holidays with my entire family. 3 grown children and 9 grandbabies!! My husband and I have been so fortunate throughout the years, and to be able to spend this time with our loved ones makes everything this past year that seems to have gone wrong, so much better. Merry Christmas to you and to everyone.
wannabe, I do see your point, lol, but the postmistress new the guy worked there so I felt ok with it.
Kitty, how wonderful for you, I hope all good things for your holiday miracle!
kiddthekat, You are truly blessed that is for sure, to be with all your family this christmas. My children are in Ohio except for one daughter and her three. I will spend Christmas with them but will get to talk to all the others on Christmas. They call me and just pass the phone down the line. I have 18 grandchildren now! and one due in Jan to my youngest daughter. It can be a very lonely time with them all up there and me here, but am truly blessed to have the one here.
To a lot of people the Holidays can be a horrid experience. Widows who just lost their husbands this year facing the first holiday without them, or people who lost a child in the war, all kinds of tragedy.
Sometimes just a smile and a Merry Christmas will help get them thru the day and give them hope of a happier tomorrow. That gift is also free.
