Cheese Dreams

Cheese Dreams

Author James Nestor just wrote a book and alleges that eating an ounce or two of cheese immediately before going to sleep produces colorful halucenogenic dreams and out-of-body experiences for some. The kind of dreams vary with the type of cheese, according to Nester, so he advises trying different kinds of cheese and noting the results. This seems like a simple experiment that could be verified by readers of medhelp.

Having pleasant dreams after eating a specific food seems to qualify as a "healthy" experience, if the author is correct in his statement. :)

Being from Wisconsin I eat cheese, too much cheese, all kinds of cheese, all kinds of times. I have eaten it for breakfast, lunch, supper, as a bedtime snack and in between.

I am sorry to report or maybe happy to report that I have never experienced any of the above poll choices. Maybe I am immune to the cheese phenomena because I have eaten too much of it!

Here are some results:

Swampy tried eating 2 oz of Limburger right before bed. He dreamed all night he was inside of a porta-potty and couldn't get out.

Then Swampy tried eating 2 oz of Velveeta. He didn't dream, but woke up craving Spam.
