For those waiting for Winter .. What do you think .. lots of snow and really cold, or a mild one in store this year?

it was 55 degrees when i woke up this morning...WOW.. south florida actually cold.... last night was funny tho it was like 65  and people out here go on fur hoody sweaters....its pretty hiliarious!

I watched the local news here in LA. We have hit record lows here for this date in history of weather. We had low 40's overnight. It is real early for this. We usually get this in December. Oh Yea! EL Nino was mentioned here too. This means we won't have as many hurricanes to reach the Gulf Coast region. I think we have had our share in recent years.

Considering we already had our first and second snow of the year, I think we are going to be in for a rough ride in MN for the next few months or so.

We've already had snow here in Utah too.  Although today it's beautiful in the 70s!  But, it has been unseasonably cold!  I think we're in for a long, snowy winter!

Well, they thought that we would get snow last night, but we didn't, however, we have had rain all day and I saw two little flakes, but, I bet it won't be long until the "white stuff" starts to fall in earnest. I don't care, I like it, it is cozy.

wow i live in SOUTH texas and this sumer was the hottest  and hope we see at least 70 degrees in our mths to come for winter... it never snows here and would love it .... i think it snowed here about 5 years ago on christmas eve it was the dirtiest snow ever but at least the people that never ever had experianced snow saw it...... hug*:O) erika

Its still hot here and i am HATING it! I used to not mind but now that i went a whole summer with triple digits and one tiny window AC I am ready to BREATHE! I told my DH im starting to miss the snow i wish i could go visit my mom this year shes lives in a place where it snows and i wanna go sledding now that i think about it ROFL!!

That being said out temps are still are 85-87 compared to triple digits i guess thats a drop but still ..i am thinking its gonna be a hot one no winter here for us!! its snows like once every 2-3 yrs!!

ya know i hear that ALOT april!.....lol... i guess we always want what we dont have right??....

i wanted to see snow SOOO bad last year....i looke don the map and picked a place that was showing snow on the weather channel and 2 days later i was in chicago with 3 feet of snow as soon as i got off the plane!!.... it was amazing!.. was cold after it fell and i dunno if i could deal with that ALL winter but it was a great vacation !

even while i was alaska there was NO snow!......

wow im jealous.. here i am in sunny south florida wearing shorts and a tank top and prolly going to the pool in a little while, yesterday it was 92 degrees!.... i have been watching the news and i saw colorado had a foot of snow already???.... is this normal??... i dont know anything about "winter" it gets cold like 3 days a year here and cold here is 70 degrees!.... you should see us floridians wearing our coats in 70 degree weather,,,,lmao! even my parents how are from ny and chicago think its hilarous that im cold in that tempature....... i wish it snowed here =(

We have already had snow here so it is going to be a long winter.  Temps have been cool all summer and we had tons of rain.  Oh just saw on tv we are supposed to get more snow tomorrow night.

I believe it, Swampy. We've already been much wetter than usual with lots of rain this Summer. The only problem is when that drizzling rain turns to ice like it did last weekend, causing a skating rink on our roads and multiple accidents because people have gotten lazy over the Summer and forgotten how to drive! Slow down people and don't tailgate! Ok, I hope my city was listening, lol.

I just heard on the local weather, we might get an inch of snow tonight!! Well, it is sure cold enough for it, but sure is dry, no humidity in the air at all. If we do get snow, it will be the earliest we have gotten it since I moved here in 1996.

We have had a cooler and wetter year so far....I can only thing it will be lots of everything...ice, snow, cold....I can handle snow, but I hate temps below 20 degrees F

Its an El Nino year. Usually that means it is a little warmer and a lot wetter. This means much more snowfall.

I have a feeling that my area is in for a whopper of a winter. Just now, I looked out my window and saw a faint dusting of snow, wow, this is the earliest I have seen it since I moved here.

I think we're going to have a bad winter. We've already had our first dusting of snow early this year and a freeze over this weekend causing black ice and lots of accidents. It's very early this year. It seems like a bad sign to me. I think we're in for a rough winter.

Well arent we warming...remember global warming although Europe is saying we are cooling , so we could always toss a coin , its costing us a fortune ..My guess is we are cooling , the warming tale sure made a lot of money for some people.though and a lot of taxes for us....
