Free Nurse Assisting Courses

Is there a facility or on line course in nurse assisting that is free. I am currently working part time in NH and would like to get ( on the Practical side) more money in my life but can not afford to do things like the Redcross courses due of the get started costs being too much( So they sound free at first but just getting in is too much,even tho a person does get back after the fact,the money)In the 1990's I was in and was able to by finding a free (use to be called CNA)LNA course at a local nursing facility but can not find one again[not even on the net]So if anyone out there knows a free course in LNA please e-mail back.(I am at the live by microsoft address)

I don't know of any such courses, most courses, especially those related to medical will have a fee.

On the news the other day a huge shortage of nurses ...going to be a crisis when the baby boomers are seniors.. so any youngsters wanting to help others and have a great career should check out what is available in courses in their area'.Davidleve's I would think there will be a demand soon, there must be courses dont know about the Free though.

I know of no free courses for such an important role, however, you could get a government grant to pay for a course or two. Grants do not require you to pay them back.

try your local "big' hospitals , thats how I got my CNA license, they paid me minimum wage to attend school which was a 6 week course they ran in the basement of hospital, deal was you ( honor system) worked for them...I also know some long ter care places will train but not pay, advise go in person do not call, make sure your dressed in business attire, first impressions make or break the deal, and be confident, it shows, best of luck, place that train do exist but you need to search in person for them..

ter should read term, as in nursing homes, your more likely to be trained by a hospital though,,,also check into a pell grant.
