How Much do you pay for Auto Insurance?

I can't believe Allstate. I have never had a ticket, sent a late payment or been in a car accident in my life yet they wanted to charge more for the same coverage type. I have full coverage. My husband is also included there with his car, which is also new. The payment was supposed to be $315.97. I am NOT paying that. I cancelled the service and called Progressive today. For the same service, and even more coverage, I am now paying $171.15. I am still upset over Allstate’s prices.  

Anyone would like to share feedback on either Allstate or Progressive? Will Progressive do the same thing Allstate did? They all do the same, don’t they? Ughhhhh….

no our two cars are both old so its pay on liability only if our cars get damaged we are sol unless the other driver is 100% at fault which happened to me...stopped for an ambulance and some young girl rear ended me....but we used to have state farm,,,,they wouldnt negotiate with us and we found AAA was cheaper so we switched...

i am with State farm and pay $179.00 every six months Toyota Echo

For 5 cars I pay 3200.00 a year with Allstate...Thats full coverage...With my husbands new car on it...

Progressive says they are the only Insurance company which offers to pay up to $1,000 per pet if your pets suffer damage during a car accident in which you are, or aren't guilty. I do no know if they are the only ones, but at least Allstate never talked to me about it!!!!!!!!!! And I am always on the road with my two fuzzy guys (kitties) I have the same coverage, and more, for less than half of what I was going to pay. I am not a teenager and neither is my hubby. We have NEVER been involved in car accidents, no tickets, no felonies....nada!!!. What's wrong with them?

we pay 600 per year for two cars plpd but thats also with two teenagers,,,not bad...AAA

Time to go insurance shopping, I guess. $220/6 months for ONE (very old) car. Liability only...I thought it seemed kind of high...ugghh...=P

I hear you I am actually up for renewal now so I am pricing but as of 10:00 I still had not found anyone cheaper than Geico.. Go figure

What Geico was higher I get a price quote yearly from different insurance companys just to see if someone is cheaper. I have not had luck yet.. Go figure have you had wrecks or speeding tickets??

I have been with Allstate for years...I priced Geico a couple of years ago and they were higher....

I am with Geico, pay 120.00 a mo for two financed new vehicles. If you move, change jobs, or do not use a car for work, let them know cause it affects your premiums. I have full coverage. Also raising your deductable, lowers your premium also. My husband works in auto repair and says they all use aftermarket parts (junk) to fix cars anyway, so why pay them all that money! Go for the cheapest. Also, if you get behind on any thing and if it gets reported on your credit report, they can all raise your rates so beware. Just like credit cards, if you get behind in one, they all can raise your rates.

Yes be real careful with progressive when you switch from one company to the other they do give you a discount. Then when its time to renew the policy they up your rates..
Be careful with progressive for sure they are crooked to. Goodluck.

*sigh* Hopefully, I will not have to go through that again. Really, it is ridiculous that I have to pay over $300 for car insurance. If Progressive does the same thing Allstate did I will keep looking for another one. Maybe I will check out Infinity.

We have Infinity and pay less than $200 for two cars, full coverage. When my husband got a quote from Progressive, it was about twice as much what we pay now so we said, "NO, thanks!" LOL

Progressive screwed my daughter over so just be careful.  What they quoted and what she ended up paying in a few months was off a bit......only 150.00 dollars!!!!!  Clean driving record too.

I have USAA.  When I call any other company to see if they can beat our rates and they find out who my company is, they don't even try.  

Has anyone in your family ever been in the military (father, brother, husband)?  USAA is for members of the military and their families.  Can't beat their rates!
