If it had to be winter or summer all year, what would you prefer?

by suzi-q, Oct 21, 2009 09:36AM
I am asking this question because I am SOOOOO alone with my how I feel!  I am curious if there is anyone else out there who feels as I do.

If you had to have the weather winter (below 45degrees) or summer (above 85 degrees) all year, which would you prefer?????

I am a summer person! Would prefer the warmer weather instead of the cold.

by suzi-q, Oct 21, 2009 09:54AM
hey...the circle didn't change?  hmmmmmm....

by Lonelymom, Oct 21, 2009 09:59AM
It did for me.... It went to 50/50

by lhughes, Oct 21, 2009 10:04AM
Ok, that's not a whole lot of choice, but I had to go summer all year.  UNLESS of course that means HUMID.  Then I vote winter.  Summer in the south is nasty humid, but 85 in Arizona...might not be so bad.  Winter cold and wet would be bad.  Winter crisp and cool would be awesome.

I prefer at least 3 seasons...which is typically what we get in the south.  At least 1 season gets ignored, mostly that would be winter.

by suzi-q, Oct 21, 2009 10:42AM
That is why I gave 2 seasons only....the extremes, Lisa....of course everyone would LOVE ALL SPRING OR FALL!  so I chose to leave those out...get it???

by SassyLassie, Oct 21, 2009 11:36AM
I voted Winter. I just love the cold, heat makes me so sick, plus, I love the snow when there is no ice, and I just like how I feel during the winter months.

Besides, that is the season for Christmas too, LOL.

I have to agree with lhughes, I am from the south also. I hate humid summer or winter.
I like cookand crisp!  Sunshine with the wind out of the North is purrrfect for me! Don't give me the winters we have cold, wet, dreary rain.YUCK! I love cold, but DRY!! This is why I had to  pick Summer.  Yea! the vaporizor south! LOL

LOL!!!  I thought it was a southern saying!!!!!!

by Dazon50, Oct 21, 2009 12:03PM
If it had been winter with about 35 degrees above the zero mark, I would have picked it as you can put clothes on to keep warm or bundle up with blankets, but can't take skin off to keep cool above 90 degrees, but 45 below zero is too much...things would be breaking....high temps melt, but easier to move than being a stiff frozen popsicle!!!

Fall is better...not too cold not too hot.  Spring is preferable also temp wise.

:-)

by suzi-q, Oct 21, 2009 12:11PM
NO NO!!!  Dazon, I said below 45!!!  not 45 below zero!!!!  NO ONE COULD HANDLE THAT!  Please vote again and change your vote~  There are not too many of us out there!  LOL!!!!!!

by mami1323, Oct 21, 2009 02:13PM
Could I choose spring.  I don't praticularly like summer but I despise winter.

by lhughes, Oct 21, 2009 02:54PM
I had to waffle on my answer based on specific conditions not outlined in your poll.  Sorry!  Now, if I can choose WHERE in the US this type of weather applies, then I'd have a hard decision because I do LOVE a hot crisp day at the beach (no humidity) and I love a COLD crisp day in winter (also no humidity or rain).

I vote BOTH!  :P

by MJIthewriter, Oct 21, 2009 04:10PM
Summer.Though to be honest I prefer temps 75-85 without the extreme tropical humidity that we tend to get.

by Dazon50, Oct 21, 2009 04:33PM
LOL...I must be running in high speed mode that I thought it was below zero...:-)

I can tolerate 30 plus over 80 plus...lol!

thanks for clarifying that.

by kitty51, Oct 21, 2009 07:08PM
30 degrees ah lovely!! thats celcius of course!! I dont like being cold, but one day i would like to go to the snow and maybe even see it falling,i think that would be so cool.
Never been and never seen not even one lilttle snow flake:(

by ParamedFlorena, Oct 23, 2009 01:06PM
Anything below 32 F goes good to me - if only the snow neever melted! Waiting anxiously for the very first snowflake!

All Year???!!! Definitely the summer. I couldn't imagine being in below 45 degrees all year.  I live in Florida and won't do yard work if its below 70 degrees...toooo cold. Give me the sun!

I hate being HOT...........since I cant choose spring.........WINTER WINTER WINTER for me!!!

by jollyman069, Oct 24, 2009 11:43PM
SUMMER...screw that being cold

by wannasmile63, Oct 25, 2009 03:38AM
WINTER- Might be a bit different for me here, in Australias sunny QLD, but summer here = Humidity, which I can't stand. Plus its heaps easier covering that dreaded bloat-belly in winter.

by twehner5, Oct 25, 2009 07:25AM
I lived in FL for the first 39 years of my life.....HATED IT !!!!!!

I now live in BEAUTIFUL Wisconsin...LOVE IT.  BRING ON THE SNOW!!!  I voted WINTER!!!  45???  That's a warm winter day up here!!!

by Piparskeggr, Oct 25, 2009 08:18AM
I did not vote, as I prefer 4 seasons; each in its time with the wonder of the fullness of life unfolding before your eyes.

Like now in Fall: trees turning, waterfowl flying, squirrels gathering, winds blowing, frost forming...a reminder that nothing is permanent and everything yields its place to something else.

by hope4thegoodstuff, Oct 28, 2009 09:26PM
It's already been 45 degrees and lower here and I'm going to freeeeze...Of course, I have thyroid issues and that isn't helping....so out comes the flannel pjs and I bought a down blanket and a new warmer (I hope) coat and I need really thick socks and long underwear and OHHHHH  I'm definitely going to be a summer from now on....

Though I do love snow...I really hate cold.

by Wiley_Willow, Nov 02, 2009 04:46PM
Summer!

by redheadaussie, Nov 07, 2009 04:10AM
I was just in Oregon where it was below 45 quite a few days, and during the day it was nice, at night..FORGET IT! Bloody freezing! Now I am home for two weeks here in Australia and I was thinking how nice it has been. Around mid 70's. Then today...bleurgh....around 85 with humidity of around 65 %. I hate it when it gets really warm and humid! Poor old body just can't cope.
SO! Winter or summer? Can't I just hibernate in winter like a bear then take a vacation afterwards?

by Cherie762, Nov 07, 2009 05:27AM
I would choose spring if it was an option..spring all year would be perfect for me

by turkee23, Nov 13, 2009 04:24PM
lol i voted summer even tho i live in sunny south florida and its ALWAYS summer here....i think it was 58 this morning and us floridians are going crazy !....lol its kinda funny

by FurballsMom, Nov 15, 2009 03:06AM
I didn't vote.  I can't stand extremes.  I have a lot more pain regardless of which extreme it is.
