Well, I am very please about the election (yay yay yay!!)

Now I have to fulfill my campaign promises of cakes!  There will be much baking and eating of cakes in the Savas household tonight!  See, democrats keep their promises!!!

In fact, since I am riding on a political high here, I will go so far as to say... (drum roll please) that anyone who voted for Obama can come to NY and collect cakes.  Even red velvet cakes (hrt3105).  So, let me know!

Suzi - I believe you are discussing ganache.  Good stuff and could be doable!  Planning a vacation to NY?

I would make cakes for Barack Obama and Joe Biden, they certainly deserve and have earned cakes!  But alas, I doubt my cakes would reach them.  Oh well.  Maybe if they come to NY, they'll drop by for cakes.  You think?

Just for the record, I have made no promises to Savas on the subject of chocolate pudding pie!  However, perhaps down the road, one may materialize.  Could be, you never know....

If I were chosing the first puppy it would be a Great Dane or an Irish Wolfhound.  Think how amazing Obama would look with a dog like that next to him.  Absolutely gorgeous and so impressive!  A matched pair would be even better.  What an image that would make!!!  And his lovely daughters would look fabulous with them too.

And, if you prefer substance over surface, they both make sweet, loyal friends.  Great breeds.

You know, when Obama said that about a new puppy for his daughters, Savas's reaction was to pause and then say.... I want a puppy!

Now he wants cakes and a puppy!

It's definitely hugs and puppies time!  Well, maybe not puppies for us, since I think our cat friends would probably terrorize even the biggest, strongest puppies.  They are somewhat republican cats and believe in power before diplomacy.  Alas, what can I do?  You can change a husband's politics, but not a cat's!

Which brings me to... if anyone wants those "few kittens" Ranaesheart mentions, let me know!  Cakes and kitties are always around the place!  Probably end up making a chocolate & cat hair cake thanks to them - boy does it get into everything!!

BTW, for anyone who isn't getting the reference... Savas started saying "cakes" instead of "cake" because of a series of videos on youtube called funny cats.  Some of the captions refer to a cake as cakes.  So I just sort of started saying it too.

Well, he has requested chocolate pudding pie, which is not my favorite but which I have tentatively agreed to and I have started to crave carrot cake lately.  So I think that constitutes multiples.
