Well,  until this year----- I could never keep a plant indoors alive for long at all.  I think I'd bring them in and they would take one look around my house and start wilting.  However . . . I bought this plant that looked like a little tree a couple of months ago.  It is about 6 inches tall and I sat it on a little stand.  It is still looking very much alive . . . but I just recently noticed it is painted with some kind of shalack (spelling?).  None of the little needles will fall off because they are kind of glued on. . . I think this is the way to go for me from now on!

That is me!!  Gardening is one of my "things"!!!  I plant one with my kids who like to do the planting part but not the tending, harvesting or eating (they are 4 and 6). I usually have enough to send to all on MH!
