I've always cooked it in the oven, never had it too dry.
Never had it on the grill, though.
Well one year a long time ago we were cooking pies around midnight and had our oven die on us. We were dumb founded. We went to WalMart around 1 AM and bough an 18 quart roaster to cook our turkey in for the next morning. Best Turkey EVER! Very juicy.
Now all of our Turkey's and Christmas hams are cooked in the roaster. Works out well too because it frees up the oven for all of the other goodies. Yummy.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone.
Well thats all good but I am sticking with the grill more flavor and I save on the electric bill LMAO
i baste mine every 1/2 hr never head a dry one yet
What can I say...you have never had MY oven turkey!!!! I admit turkey on the grill is good. It is just not a Thanksgiving without a turkey in the oven surrounded by stuffing or dressing whatever you happen to call it.
One year when my son was just four he throught I had killed and was cooked thee "Big Bird." I made the comment, "Boy that's a big bird I have cooking." He didn't know a turkey was a bird. He cried until I explained it. Kids!! They are so innocent.
I do not like it in the oven at all yuck!!
We grill a LOT and we love it. The weather never stops us in Wisconsin. But nothing beats a juicy oven roasted turkey. Mine is NEVER, EVER dry.
If its outside on the grill... its to cold here...so always the oven...
Can i have roast pork instead?????LOL
i never heard of it on the grill!!! HOW IS THAT DONE????
Oven, and it ALWAYS turns out GREAT, very JUICY and NEVER dry.
I always brine the turkey before putting it in the oven. It helps to keep it from drying out.
I put oven, but when I cook a turkey it goes in my roaster and always comes out great.
