Weather or not

Here I am sitting at the kitchen table in Bend Oregon, and freezing my bits off! What happened to all the warm weather!! Now it is only 49 F. Snow up on Mt Bachelor (which I hope to see later today!)
What do you guys like? Summer, spring, autumn, or winter?

Me I like Spring....lovely warm days so I can wear nice clothes, but the nights are nice and cool enough for sleeping cozily. I loathe Summer...back home in Australia they are toooooooo hot!  Although the longer days means I can sit on my deck sipping chilled wine and listen to the cicadas! Winter is too chilly for me, we don't get snow so that is a bonus! Autumn is beautiful with all the colours but the mornings are too chilly for me!

What do you like and why?

I like summer. Spring and then autumn kind of in that order. Winter is my least favorite. This year we got cheated of a couple seasons. We had a cool summer (comfortable for me) without the 80 some degree heat. Fall - what fall?

The leaves hadn't even had a chance to turn before winter took over!

SF got hit by the remnants of a typhoon yesterday. Today the air is warm, very humid, and very tropical feeling. Its not weather that is supposed to be here, so it is eerie.

You guys are going to think I am absolutely insane but I live in Texas with over 100 degree temps during the summer and yet that is my favorite season of them all. I freeze if the temps are below 70! It is fall and I hate it, it has been 50 something one day and 80 the next. My kids are all battling colds which is not good for my youngest because she gets bronchitis and pnumonia (sp) easily.

Plus the winters here are cold and wet. That makes it worse. I wouldn't mind if it was cold and dry but cold in wet is just plain miserable. I will now be counting down until summer again!

Here is SW Florida, it is downright miserable hot. 90 but factor in the humidity and it feels like 100!  I cannot wait till it cools down, it has been so hot this summer! Looking forward to opening the windows and turning the air off again!

I'm from New Orleans (Katrina moved me!) and I usually like the Fall there because it starts to cool off after a steamy summer.  But now I'm in the midwest, and Fall here is downright COLD (at least to me!) and I am not a fan of cold!

Hee hee....Yes as of today, it is snowing where I am in Oregon. First time ever for me to be in falling snow! Looks beautiful and is sooooo serene. I said to my darling man that I am going to cherish every snowflake on my body and remember them when I am back home in Melbourne (well North East of Melb anyways!) when the temp is over 45c and scream,"I wanna go back for the snow!"
Yep, fill the fridge up! Except I'll have Cascade Light, thanks!
I heard the dust was horrendous! I went through it back in 1983 before the Victorian Ash WEdnesday bush fires. THAT was bad enough!
Melb is still cold, but if Sydney's getting that hot already, then we aren't far behind....bleurgh!

Im in Kingswood / Penrith west of Syd , not summer yet and already had days in the 30's - The dust storm we had was INCREDIBLE (the asthma attack it brought on was the worst since my teens ) It really did look like the world was going end !!!! Daylight savings has started - forecasts are for a long hot summer . Time to fill the fridge with VB and get the surfboard out of storage !!!!

I live in southwestern Ontario in Canada.  I relish having all 4 seasons but would enjoy having a little less winter.  I'm not a lover of hot weather though.  My favourite of them all is the fall.  I love the warm to cool days and the cold nights.  The trees are turning colour.  All the fresh fruits and vegetables are being harvested.  This is heaven on earth.

Welcome to the USA!

I understand Oregon is sort of wet and cold. I have never been there, but pictures of the mountians are just beautiful. All those Xmas trees and snow.

I am way the opposite end of the nation, in the south (you know below sea level), about
100 miles north of New Orleans, LA. It has been a hot summer here. We had a nice couple of days this past week, right at 50 degrees for the low and a high of about 80 degrees. I like this type of weather and sunshine, no rain. If I had anything to do with work and weather. I would have rain days instead of snow days, regardless if you work inside or outside. Everyone would be able to sleep in! LOL Talk about a baby boom!!!

I'm a midwesterner and frankly we have had a marvelous summer....It simply never got rediculously hot this year and I was working a lot and just feel as though I missed it...It got into the 40's here too and I'm terrified that I am simply going to freeze this year

...My favorite day is the first morning you can go outside barefoot and be comfortable without a jacket.  Probably late spring, early summer.  I too like to sit in the evenings and enjoy the patio out back.  Now it's already getting toward dark as I am coming home from work and it won't be long before I go in the dark and come home in the dark.  Winter can be very depressing for me.

Today is the first day since May that we had a day under 90 degrees and lower humidity! It feels like Heaven!  Summers are wicked but winter here is paradise for sure! I am sorry your freezing! You need to come south! And the sunset here everyday is different and just as beautiful as the day before. And you do not have many cloudy days here either so depression is not as rampant as in the northern states.
