annoying coworkers???

i have worked at my place for over a year...i work in an office with about 4 other women....in 24 and the other ones are 24, 22, and other other 2 are 45 and older.......this women who has to be like 45-50 years old acts like she is 15 !!!....she is constantly causing trouble!...always stirring the pot....like she turns off my computer every night and takes down my notes saying"dont turn of my computer cause i lose my information"  at first i thought it was the new girl cause she is sitting at my desk when im not there, so i kinda told her where to go (this was about 4 months ago) but it kept happening, just the other day she and i were working alone and she says " remember when u cursed me out about you computer?...well that was clara (the older women) she used to throw away your notes every night and she was turning off your computer and saying "oh well she can turn it on in the morning".....so its been 4 months that passed and she is NOW telling me this..... but thats not all...she makes the schedule for all of us, but will change mine in the middle of the week and NOT tell me, so i might be late or worse just miss a day thinking i had it off!....bioootch!.... she has gone thru my drawers at work and found stuff she didnt like and took it and brought it to the boss and said she found it on her desk!.....she drives me INSANE!!!.....what am i supposed to do about this??... if it were any other place besides a place that pays me i woulda been forced to kick her a$$ already!....

soooooo i decided to super glue all of her pen caps to her pens, her sharpie marker caps to the markers, her scissors together, her tape to the tape despenser, her tampon bag shut... and i changed her computer to type in nothing but russian!......they all sitting here now trying to figure out what happened...... i know i shouldnt have stooped that low but i think its pretty funny.... hmmm let the war begin!

You say she acts like a 15 yr old but your behavior is just as bad.

I have been in my work place for almost 2 years now and it has taken that long for us to all get along. I had a co-worker (female) that did everything she could to make me look bad and then would talk about me behind my back. I had to earn her respect and I am not sure I completely have it, more or less she realizes she will not win because I have earned the friendship of all her clique. The older gentlemen was a sexist and wouldn't give me work so it would look like i was lazy in reality he wouldn't assign me work. I eventually had to go to the supervisor and tell her about this. Since he is no longer giving out work orders.

Point of all this is, it may take time and patience for them to move on and leave you alone. Try befriending all her clique friends then she has no one to help her when she does these things and if that don't work go to your supervisor!

I do have to add what you did was very funny!

These are all reasons I decided to start my own business and be my own boss. lol  It just is not worth the stress it causes.

when i was younger, i was in this situation i had just started in a planrt and i was painting and coding galvenometors you did this under a microscope rhere were about 7 women in the room my work was being sent back by the inspector, and i was noticing funny looks i was getting, so i knew something was wrong, i got up with the others to go to lunch and then decided to go back as i had brought a sanwich one of the other girls was toching the galvonometers and if one toches one before it is baked then you have to redo it, as i had seen things before in other places i had figured out something like this was happening, so i walked up to the girl and i said i am working here because i need a job i have children to support, now i do not know why you are working unless you need a paycheck like i do, we can either be friends and let this go by or we can keep playing silly games what would you like to do she said she was sorry that the others had did things like this and she knew it was childish, si it quit and no one ever knew what had taken place between us, i think a good way you may handle this is to catch her alone and as she is older she may think she has a right to think she is the leader or boss who knows but compliment her work and tell  her you know she knows just how everything is done butter her up, then say it really bothers me and always has when someone toches my desk or moves things or bothers my computer in a polite word give her the message and just say would you mind leaving the things as they are and say thank you for watching my things they say you can catch more flies with honey than vinigar, if she was a younger woman i would say it right out, but leave her a little pride sometimes older people get to thinking they have been there so long they are the boss let her have her delision if that is what it is as she must have some problem and needs a friend if she resorts to this  luck  jo

i would also like to mention a time when i first went to work at the hosp
I had not been on duty ong until one of the aides came up and said are you ok you do not look like you are feeling ok, i just smiled and siad i am fine thanks anyway after about 4 or 5 had told me i did not look good i looked sick i was l was always strong willed and smart about people i began to smell a rat so it was non and i went to check a pt back from surgery and one of the aides came in and said do not say i said anything but pay no attention to what some say and she left so the next time one came up and said something i said thanks for caring but even if i am sick i got to keep going the kids have to eat, well at that time one day or 3 would not have mattered but this idea worked pretty soon they quit saying this and looked sheepish i guess they thought a woman that needed food really had to work, but i never did it to anyone and they also quit, i guess they thought it was not fun anymore but you would be surprised at how many people had went home sick the first day i was told later there were many of them so there are lots of tricks being pulled and i think it is a shame people do this but they are like school kids some make fun of the others  yiu just have to wake up a little earlier than they do  luck with your jobs  jo

Ah yes... the mix of personalities; the little ego trips and territorial mind games definitely make for an interesting workplace, I think.

I always got along with my female coworkers.  Some of them are still my best friends to this day.  We used to all eat lunch together, go out dancing and dinner together, now we go to each other's weddings and baby showers and all that good stuff.  Even though I had to laugh at what you did, it is only going to cause more pain.  I would pull her to the side and speak to her.

I'm with mami, I've always got along well with my co-workers, back when I was a waitress and now, as a teacher.
Thank God, because it makes going to work SO much better when you like the people you work with!
