average age

I think it is the intellect that makes me seem older.  I observe things, study things, read things and reflect upon those things. I guess that makes me appear to be wise beyond my years. I think on at least two levels: One is the intellectual/cognitive level (think Mr. Spock in Star Trek) and the other is the emotional level. Also I tend to ramble, both in type and in real life.

See me in real life freaking out because I can't find my camera battery and I have to leave for the city bus in 10 minutes, it's a different story. I tore through my room and couldn't find it. Thankfully the other one had enough charge to get me through the day.  It was the memory card that ran out of space first.

My grandma found the battery. I owe her a raking job in the yard. I'm still learning. I have a long way to go before I can fully catch up to where I want to be. I've got to somehow get those anxiety attacks and meltdowns under control..  I've come a long way from where I was, so I have to be proud of myself in some ways.  I think one thing is important is to always be seeking ways to improve oneself.

Also realize I'm not going to be my ideal self 100% of the time.  I may want to be, but I won't always be. Those times I act out in less than ideal ways, I need to forgive myself for those episodes and not do those things again.

Yes I'm a work in progress or as one of my characters puts it, he says:

I am 24 years old. And next year I'll be 24 again, and again and again.....I'll always be 24 :) I don't have kids and don't wish for one right now. I first have to go to Norway :)

I guess you aren't the old goat, Michaelgc. I'm 58, breathing (thank God) on 59. I used to turn the numbers around but then I'd be 85, so I stopped that! One grandchild, huh, I have 4. One just graduated high school, last year. My children are 34,38 and 40. My body feels 85!!
Gracious is there anyone out there older than me? I am the oldest of my brother and sister, even. My mother-in-law is older, ha!!

Oh, it was Jollyman that said he was the old goat. Memory is gone too! I can't walk either, my feet just goes every which way, then down I go. God prepared me, cause he knew I would get wabbly fast, so he gave me great bones. How do you think I made it to this age. I can still hear though. With glasses, I can see!

41..soon to be 42 in a couple of weeks.....I found that 30 bothered me a heck of a lot more than 40.  I am proud of my age now....I worked HARD to get here!!!!
